Living with a communication disability means that our participants' worlds have become or are very different to the world in which most of us live. For us the ability to communicate is often taken for granted. For them making an appointment, ordering a meal, or chatting with a friend is something that happens with effort or cannot happen at all.
Their stunning portraits show them as they are; individuals with a story to tell, if only we have the time to listen. They want their voices to be heard so that all of us can better understand the diversity of communication difficulties.
